シフト勤務は、従来型の日中の勤務時間帯からはずれた勤務形態を指し、2015年にはEU労働者の21%があてはまるとされている。

シフト勤務が冠動脈疾患や脳卒中と関連するという報告はあるものの、心房細動との関連についてはほとんどわかっていないのでくわしくしらべてみたそうな。
